Grow in Faith and Spirit
The word "disciple" means follower or student. As Jesus' disciples in this time, we are called to grow and learn in our faith. This is a life-long calling. At Holy Cross, we offer a variety of opportunities to learn more about Jesus' invitation to "Come, and follow me."

Kingdom Kids
Our younger disciples attend Sunday School, known as "Kingdom Angels" for preschoolers (almost 3, 3 and 4 year olds), and “Kingdom Kids” for school age children. We begin at 9:00 am with a time of singing led by Jeremy Shoop and Suzanne Baggett. Sunday School then continues into class with Bible stories, crafts, and activities.

Kingdom Kids continues to excel with some intergenerational learning, working with the Holy Cross Quilters to make quilts that were donated to Lutheran World Relief. These quilts have gone on to assist people all over the world.
Confirmation
Confirmation instruction is typically a two-year program of spiritual and faith development offered to middle school members that offers a deeper exploration into the basic of Christian faith and our Lutheran heritage, expression, and worship. Classes are held weekly during the school year.

Confirmation instruction typically ends with the Affirmation of Baptism, a place where these young people are given the opportunity to publicly make this faith their own, surrounded by the prayers and support of the community of faith that has helped nurture them along the way.

If you have a young person who is ready for the journey of Confirmation instruction, please contact the church office.

Adult Learning
We believe that, as a Christian, learning about faith isn't something you just do when you are a kid! We have an active and vibrant Adult Education program that seeks to deepen and enhance our understanding of God's love and work in our lives.

On Sunday mornings beginning at 9:00 am, all are welcome to our Bible Study, no matter how much or how little you think you know about the Scripture. Generally, we pick a book of the Bible by consensus and then spend some weeks to learn together. Questions are always welcomed, explored, and enjoyed by all.

During Vacation Bible School (typically held evenings during the first week of August), there in an adult session. These studies are more topical in nature and explore a portion of what we believe as Lutheran Christians.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a week-long time of food, fun, and learning about God. Typically held evenings during the first week of August, VBS allows young people and adults a time to sing some songs, share a dinner, and spend some time learning about God's love. Each year, we follow a special VBS curriculum that emphasizes a theme and lessons in a fun, relaxed format.

If you want to help with this rewarding ministry, or want to know more about registering to attend VBS, please contact the office.
